Small-schools group focuses on coming legislative session

When it comes to funding education, the lines between equal opportunities among school districts can become blurred. The differences between smaller school districts and larger, metropolitan-area districts aren't hard to see, but they can create tough challenges for education policymakers.

Superintendents from 13 small to mid-size school districts make up an organization called STANCE, which stands for Schools Taking Action for Nebraska Children's Education. Their mission statement says, "STANCE supports equitable learning opportunities for all Nebraska children."
