In their final tune-up prior to subdistrict volleyball play, Meridian swept a pair of matches last Tuesday at the Deshler Quadrangular.
The two wins helped the Class D-2 state-rated Lady Mustangs improve their record to 21-6 on the season.
In its first match, Meridian topped Class D-2 state-rated Giltner by scores of 25-20, 25-14.
Senior Blair Hofstetter hammered down a team-leading 14 kills on the Lady Hornets, and she also led the squad with three ace serves.
Ashli Soukup contributed nine kills in the match, while on defense she had 10 digs.
As a team, Meridian was 49-52 serving from behind the service line.
Erin Johnson led the team with 20 assists, while recording a pair of ace serves.
Hofstetter and Johnson were 1-2 with digs on defense with 12 and 11.
Meridian came out victorious in its second match against Deshler in straight sets, 25-17, 25-14.
