After the playing of the "Star Spangled Banner" and Opening Prayer, Berdine Payne of the Auxiliary read the Roll Call of Honor, the names of the veterans buried in the cemetery. Leigha Bales read the "Gettysburg Address".
Lt. Col. Mark Scheonrock, U. S. Army Retired, gave the address. He paid tribute to the local men and women who answered our country’s call to duty in each of their generations. He said this is the day we set aside to take a few moments to honor the brave Americans who have fallen in the service of our country. It is also the day to reflect on those who continue to live their lives and serve with honor and dignity guided by the ever present example of the fallen.
