The Fairbury Public Library has a new director, Deborah Aden, who will begin her position, on July 27th.
When Aden heard about the position, she quickly applied and got the job. Her experience in the field, spans back 10 years, where she originally worked at a library in Billings, Montana and then the UNL library, in Lincoln.
“This is a new position, with new challenges and I'm looking forward to living in a smaller community,” Aden said. “It's going to be a major change, but seems like a positive situation.”
Aden and her family are moving from Lincoln, to Fairbury, in search of, a slower paced life. She worked full-time, at the Lincoln City Library, for almost three years, and part-time, in Waverly, for three years, where she was the only paid employee.
