Competing in their second invite in a week, Fairbury’s Lady Jeffs golf team had a productive day on the links last Friday at Seward.
The 13-team Seward Invite had a Central Conference flair with eight teams from the conference competing on the day.
York captured the team championship firing a score of 364, while Norris was second turning in a score of 386.
Fairbury placed ninth overall with a team score of 458, which was an improvement of 67 strokes from Tuesday’s Beatrice Invite.
Freshman Sara Mitchell led the way for the Lady Jeffs shooting an 18-hole score of 102, which placed her 19th individually just four places out of a medal.
Rounding out the list of individual scores for Fairbury were Madison Black, 114, Ashley Griffee, 119, and Evie Schwab shot a 123.
Fairbury Lady Jeffs golf coach Jed Martin felt the invite was quite productive for the squad.
