Deputy Barry Selected To Handle K9 Program

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office lost our K9 Ringo on September 3rd, 2014. Ringo was an intricate part of our Office and Family. After Sheriff Sorensen completed an evaluation of the K9 program it is with great pride that we are announcing that we will continue with a Police Service Dog Program. Sheriff Sorensen believes in the program and believes that the community has come to expect this service from the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Cody Barry has been selected to handle the new K9. Deputy Barry is excited about selecting and training a new dog. In the coming weeks and months we will be doing fund raisers to procure the Sheriff’s Office’s new dog.
