Keep Your Children Safe in the Heat

Safe Kids, Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Saline and Thayer Coalition and Public Health Solutions are urging all families to make sure their children are not left in a car.  Currently, there have been 8 reported fatalities, across the United States, in 2015. Six of those deaths have occurred in June and three deaths this week alone.  “We certainly do not want any parent or loved one to experience that situation in our community,” expressed Sharon Vandegrift, Safe Kids Coalition member in Jefferson County.

Unfortunately, no community is immune to this kind of tragedy. Parents and caregivers can cut down the number of deaths and near misses by remembering to ACT.
