Competing in its first volleyball tournament of the season, Meridian finished fourth at Saturday’s eight-team Friend Volleyball Tournament.
Meridian began the tournament on the right foot earning a three-set victory over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.
The Lady Mustangs won by scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-16.
As a team, Meridian had 23 total kills for the match with Blair Hofstetter leading the way with 12 kills.
Behind the service line, the Lady Mustangs had 11 ace serves.
Allison Klipp paced the team with four ace serves.
Erin Johnson handed out 20 set assists for Meridian.
On defense, Klipp and Hofstetter each had 16 digs in the three-set match.
Class C2 undefeated Freeman defeated Meridian in semifinal play in straight sets, 25-18, 25-14.
Johnson and Hofstetter each had a pair of ace serves versus the Lady Falcons.
