Fairbury Spikers Come Up Short To Falls City

Competing in their final regular game last Tuesday evening, Fairbury played well despite losing in straight sets to (20-8) Falls City on the Lady Tigers’ home floor.
Falls City defeated Fairbury, 25-16, 25-21, 25-23.
Even with the loss, Fairbury Lady Jeffs volleyball coach Ryan Evans felt the team played pretty well overall.
“In the second set we had a bad stretch where our serve receiving was a little shaky. Once we got that  solved we started to make a run and just came up four points short,” Evan said.
“The girls played quite well in the third set. We were down, 24-19, and the girls fought hard saving four match points, before Falls City final got the ball to fall in for match point,” Evans replied.
