Fairbury High School Athletic Director Nicholas Kroon told the Fairbury Journal-News this morning that the search for a new head boys basketball coach has already started and the district has, “a couple of hot leads right now.”
It was announced this morning through multiple media outlets, including the Fairbury Journal-News that FHS head boys basketball coach Adam Brill, a former Lincoln Pius X assistant, will be leaving the district to coach at Norris next year.
“Our goal would be to find a suitable replacement ASAP especially with summer activities right around the corner,” Kroon said, noting that summer basketball activities will go forward as planned.
“As of now all summer things will go on as scheduled. Changes could happen with a new hire though.”
Kroon explained that, although only here for a season, Brill made a lasting impact on the basketball program for the Jeffs.
