It wasn’t the way Meridian wanted the season to end.
The Meridian Lady Mustangs volleyball team posted a 1-1 mark last Monday night in the D2-1 Subdistrict Volleyball Tournament played at Friend High School.
In the subdistrict final which finished after 11 p.m., Meridian came up short to Exeter-Milligan losing in four sets, 22-25, 25-18, 17-25, 20-25.
Senior Blair Hofstetter led all Meridian attackers in the match with 25 kills, as the Lady Mustangs recorded 52 total kills.
Allison Klipp was second for Meridian in kills with 10 and Ashli Soukup contributed eight kills.
Erin Johnson dealt out 45 set assists, and she registered a pair of ace serves.
On defense, Rylee Pieper had a team-high two solo blocks.
In its opening round match, Meridian took down Dorchester in straight sets, 25-11, 25-11, 25-7.
